One of my favorite toasts from 2010
by DJ Bryan on Jan.21, 2011, under Uncategorized
One of my favorite toasts of the year came from the wedding of Sofia and Joe in
November. I had the pleasure of working with Kendra and her team from Pfeiffer Event Planning on this memorable event. Even with the hard work wedding planners do in preparing every part of the day and timeline, I still double and triple check everything before getting started. Before announcing or introducing the toast we always check with the planned “toasters”, which usually consists of the Best Man, Maid/Matron of Honor and in most cases, the Father of the Bride. When I confirmed with Sofia’s father he immediatly asked if I could play the song It’s So Hard to Say Goodbye in the background as soon as he started his story. Not knowing the details of the speech I was ready to go and brought it up just as Dad mentioned the story of the High School dance. It was truely one of the most genuine and real toasts I have heard in some time and the entire room, after a small chuckle when Dad called them “THE Boys to Men”, was engulfed in emotion. These are the moments that make weddings spectacular and unique!!! As good of a toast as it was, without the music in the background the emotion in the room would not have been the same. Here is the toast….

Special thanks to Cael and Deana Kuhlman from Reel to Reel Productions for the video of this special moment at the beautiful Viaggio Winery.
Celebrate Coloma Weddings Showcase!!!
by DJ Bryan on Jan.15, 2011, under Music More, Wedding Ceremonies
Several sites in the Coloma area opened their doors today for the Celebrate Coloma Weddings Showcase. It was an amazing day in the foothills, with clear blue skies overhead and a mild temperature to keep everyone comfortable. We were honored to be on display at both Gold Hill Vineyard and Bella Vista Bed and Breakfast. If you haven’t considered any of the sites in the Coloma area for wedding ceremonies or receptions, I highly suggest that you consider it. Each location is unique in its own special way. There really is something for everyone at these locations and the prices at these location are very reasonably priced.
Another great reason to consider a wedding in the foothills was on display as i drove back into Sacramento for tonight’s event. Only 20 minutes from Gold Hill the sun disappeared into a grey fog that covered the valley. Being up in the gorgeous gold country for 6 hours took me away from the gloom of the overcast and fog and made me appreciate the location even more. It’s a bit cooler up there on those hot summer days and above the fog level that engulfs the valley during many days during the year.
I want to thank both Bryna and Ashley for inviting us to come out and meet with their brides and grooms. It was a amazing day. Please check out their sites below.

I can’t believe 2011 is already 12 days old. The phones are ringing and the emails are coming in. Apparently people are still getting married and companies are still throwing parties
The Bridal Expo at Cal Expo last week was a huge success for us. We spoke with over 300 brides and grooms. This was out first time in that particular show and it was a great success. Several events booked at the show and a few more have booked this week following the show. If you are looking at our website for the first time, thanks for checking in. If you are just poking around and checking in… Ihope you are enjoying a fresh new start to the new year! I’ve been working on gathering videos and pictures from the past year’s weddings to blog about so I’m hoping to get that going any day now. Smile at someone today… it might make their day! Talk soon…..

What a great year it’s been for Music & More Entertainment! The busy wedding season is just starting to wind down and we have had an amazing and successful wedding season. Business is up 70% this year, and more importantly our after event evaluations are coming back better than ever! As we have more time to catch our breath this month, look for more and more blogs coming up with some of the great stories and pictures from this past year’s weddings.
Also for the first time ever, you can read about not one, but two, of our great weddings in Real Weddings Magazine, hitting the shelf this weekend. More on that soon.
So, keep checking back and I promise you some great posts worth reading and some beautiful pictures to boot. Talk soon….
Imagine if your wedding site looked like this
by DJ Bryan on Dec.13, 2009, under Serrano Country Club, Snow, Wedding Ceremonies
How cool was it to see kids trying to snowboard and sled on the 1st fairway on the golf course. Here are some pictures i took. It’s crazy to think of the many days I have spent with a sound system set up right where this snow is for a wedding ceremony.
Here is a look at the snow covering the tables on the terrace overlooking the ceremony site.

This is the ceremony site from the outside patio. Folsom Lake is to the left and the rolling foothills and gold country are to the right. Nevermind… all you can see is snow….

This is the front of Serrano Country Club about 4 hours after the snow stopped falling. Very cool sight! No doubt!
A look from the side of the club. This is the lawn in the front of the club… snow is about 4-5 inches thick here.

So after a walk around Serrano in the 28 degree temperature, we drove up Highway 50 a little higher just for fun. Here is what happens in Placerville if you stay outside too long in a snowstorm… We definately turned around just to come back and take a picture of these “guys”.

Ok, i hope you enoyed a couple of fun pictures. There are more on my facebook page.

A first for me…
by DJ Bryan on Nov.02, 2009, under A first for me..., DJ/MC, Kendra Pfeiffer, MIke Jensen, Music More
Finally, time to breathe a little bit! September was the 2nd busiest month I have had in the 14 plus years I’ve DJ’ed. Followed that up with an October that was pretty busy also. Now it’s time for me to get back to basics. New logo and design, new marketing materials, a website (Mike Jensen, Kendra Pfeiffer and others, you’re welcome… ) getting back to AFWPI and all the other wedding professional events, etc.
